1. The foundation of the Golden Temple was laid by Sufi Saint Mian Mir.

This temple has been established on the Akal Takht. When this temple was built, there was no layer of gold on it. The King of Punjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, saved the Punjab from external invasions in the 19th century and got it revived in which the upper part of the gurudwara was covered with gold and made its beauty different.

6. The most different thing of this temple is that it has the largest kitchen in the world.

Where more than 1 lakh people are served free food every day. This food is called langar, which is received as a Prasad.
